Liverpool eye Bryan Mbeumo as potential Mohamed Salah replacement

Liverpool are interested in signing Bryan Mbeumo from Premier League rivals Brentford, according to GiveMeSport. The report has claimed that Liverpool manager Arne Slot personally wants Mbeumo because he sees the Brentford star as a potential alternative and eventual replacement for Mohamed Salah.

Salah is out of contract at Liverpool at the end of the season. No new deal is in place, and there is a strong likelihood that the Egyptian forward will leave the Reds as a free agent in the summer of 2025. Mbeumo can operate as a forward or as a right-winger. The 25-year-old Cameroon international has scored eight goals in nine Premier League matches so far this season and scored nine goals and provided six assists in the league in 2023-24.

Liverpool, though, are not the only club who are keen on Mbeumo. GiveMeSport has claimed that Arsenal and Newcastle United are also showing interest in the former Troyes player.
