Deadlock MMR explained

Can you find your Deadlock MMR? When you pour a lot of time into a competitive game like Deadlock, it’s perfectly reasonable to wonder how you stack up against your fellow warriors. Deadlock assigns every player a hidden matchmaking rating, but there are ways to work out where you might be placed.

Knowing how Deadlock MMR works is vital if you want to rise through the Deadlock ranks. Your skill level might not correlate with your ranked medal, and if you’re in matches that are too easy or too difficult, it might be because your MMR isn’t aligned with where you should be in the MOBA game. Here’s everything you need to know about Deadlock MMR.

Deadlock MMR: a person with a welding mask holding a large gun with both hands.

What is Deadlock MMR?

Your Deadlock MMR is the rating system by which your skill is judged. MMR stands for Matchmaking Rating and is the measuring stick used to place you into matches with players of similar perceived skill. You can change your MMR by winning or losing games, but this is a gradual process, and not something as instant as earning a new medal in ranked mode, for instance.

Can you see your Deadlock MMR?

Unfortunately, you cannot see your Deadlock MMR. It’s a behind-the-scenes rating system that fuels the overall matchmaking system. There were a few websites that tracked player MMR early in the Deadlock development cycle, but the data required to keep this accurate was pulled by Valve in September.

Now that you know about Deadlock MMR and the secret cogs that have determined whether you’re a hero shooter god or not, there’s only really one thing left to do: get out there and win some games using our Deadlock tier list.
